in which i share a fav i made!

I have been trying on Fridays to share the wonderful things I find on the interwebs throughout the week...

I didn't have a lot of time for mindless web surfing this week so I thought I would share a new favorite thing I made.Now, I would like to preface that I am going out on a huge limb of my comfort zone here by wearing this, and yes I will be wearing it out in public today!But I figured why not!So here you are:

And I am excited!

Dear sweet Mandie from

fixed me up!

And not only did she take care of my blog, she took care of a new Etsy banner for me AND new business cards! I can't wait to get them printed!! Ooo I could just squeal with excitement!

One slightly mortifying part of this process was having my nit-pickiness catalogued by the million umm-but emails I sent Mandie.

You know the ones I am talking about, the umm-this is great---but...

But, bless her heart*, she put up with me and I am sooooo thankful because she did an amazing job!

*I recently read where someone referred to this as the Southern insult (and I agree it usually is and that is how I normally use it) but I was totally using it the sense of: bless her heart for putting up with my indecisive butt!

in which i letcha know what's up

Well, as I am sure you have figured out my girl child is off havin' a grand old time with her pa!

I obviously knew this  was coming and decided before she left that I would not squander this time.

Instead, I resolved that it would be an opprotunity to pick up where I left off about nine months ago when my life took some crazy turns.

I never intended then for things to go so downhill.

But it was as though with the exit of summer and Aubrey...things were just too grey.

I couldn't find the motivation to do the things I loved.

Creating, blogging, connecting with people I had established great relationships with.

I even fell through on obligations and promises I had made, and still feel awful about it (don't worry an apology is on my list of things to do).

But anyways...now is now and "so it goes."

I plan on making a huge concentrated effort to really get back to and move forward from that point when it comes to my blogging and my etsy shop.

I have been rebuilding my inventory for etsy and coming up with some new designs, like these!

 

Please excuse the crappy cell phone shots!

Up there with restocking my inventory is also getting some good camera shots of all the products!

And also in the works is a bloggy makeover and an etsy shop makeover! I am so excited and will dedicating a WHOLE post to that when the time comes!

in which i introduce you to some furry friends

with the girl child gone any time i spend not with my family is usually spent along my favorite furry friends/bed hogs...my two close buddies are jack (the cat) and sara (the dog)

they keep me company while i read at night or watch movies before bed

and hog the leg room when it is time to sleep

but they are pretty great so thought i would introduce ya'll

please excuse my jammies...jack likes to sleep on them...and he likes to crowd sara

 and he likes to spread out like he owns the darn bed!

 sara was very concerned in this picture...there was a thunderstorm...she is kind of a scardey cat...not jack...he's kind of a lazy cat

and this cutie pie is tulla

she hates me

mostly because i discovered aubrey's build a bear clothes fit her

don't ask her about the time my friend bought her a sweater though

not a good subject!

anyways, those are my buddies while aubrey is gone!

btw...does anyone else dress up their cats?
