So last Friday I participated in something I have never done
before! It included “meeting” a lovely fellow blogger over skype! It also
included champagne! It was awesome! Notice all the exclamation points? That is
how awesome it was!
But seriously after some back and forth tweeting and my
exclamation of how awesome I thought her champagne Tuesday was (btw you do know
that anytime you drink champagne not on a special day it automatically becomes
champagne –insert day of the week here- and automatically ups the awesome
factor of the day). Well, after mentioning how awesome I thought it was she
suggested we have a skype champagne date- y’all I could not resist! But you
know what else- lawdy I was NERVOUS with a capitol N-E-R-V-O-U-S! I mean I knew
she was absolutely sweet from her blog and she well- who knows what she thought
of me from my blog- but well it was still a nerve wracking thing! And I know I
was probably totally awkward and said awkward things but oh well!
Overall, it turned out great! I got to meet her absolutely adorable
son, who thought I was his Aunt at first and who then proceeded to say my name
right the very first time his momma told him! He is one smart and adorable two
year old!
I also meet her pretty kitty and quickly spied/hello-ed her
hubby!
We spent about 45 minutes or so chatting about ourselves and
generally getting to know each other all the while sipping champagne- me from
Aubrey’s glitter filled Harvest mug and her from a cute glass! We’re classy!---oo
oo fun fact: the day we champagne skyped was actually National Champagne Day-
how prodigious!
