in which I solved a problem

Last week I mentioned that I needed to make a decision about Christmas cards...well life kind of made the decision for me!
I took Aubrey to see Santa this weekend and per usual the prices for pictures were ridiculous!
BUT this year they had the option for a digital download- meaning I could print as many pics as I wanted!
Score!
And to top it off we went with Aubrey's best friend and her Mom- so we split the cost since they let you download three images: one of each girl separately and then one together!

So, Sunday when I went online to print out a few of the pictures I noticed that Walgreens had a special for 33% of a lot of their picture products!
Including picture photo cards, so after choosing from a gaz-illion options I settled on a design, put my picture and greeting on and clicked order.
My photos were literally printed and ready for me to pick up thirty minutes later.
Problem solved! Now I just need to address them and send them out! eek!

If you are ordering from Walgreens use JOLLY33 before 12/10/11! And pass it on!

in which I share my latest blogger brunch!

Remember I told you I had another get together with the local bloggers (and didn't have any pictures) well now here is an opportunity for a looksie-lo!

You know you wanna!

The lovely and Enchanting Lauren hosted us all and laid out a delicious spread! I love quiche!
We also got to meet her awesome new fiance (who apparently raved about the sausage balls I brought- and if you like my cooking you are even more awesome in my book!) and see her new sparkly ring! Beautiful!

She and her fiance have the most adorable condo and I loved that so much of their decor was everyday items turned to art! Their collections of guitars and motorcycle helmets were so well displayed, while also conveying just the type of people they are! Super!!

Ashley, who has the most gorgeous pictures AND natural red hair (so jealous) took some beautiful pictures! She was super sweet and helped me before other got their get together the bags for everyone to take home their treats because we also did a cookie swap!

Her chinese noodle haystacks were a huge hit at my casa- I didn't even get to try them and was told I MUST get the recipe! So, I did and Aubrey and I made them this weekend! delicious!

Another delicious part of the swap were the brownies by the other Momma in the group, Sarah! I ate these at home smashed into ice cream al a Coldstone, they made my soul happy!
Sarah, is so animated and really great to listen to her talk about her hubs and babe Kate! She is so full of energy and I have been impressed each time I've met her and whenever I read her blog by her Sunny Side Up manner!

Rachel, who did not make the star above, but was still there is another great photographer and should go check out her pictures from the brunch. You should also go check out her etsy shop, Funnelcloud, but don't go if you think you might be gettting an xmas present from me, cause you very well might be getting something from there! Also, another thing about Rachel- I want to meet her pups! Look around her blog and you will see how adorable they are- and her stories about them just add to their awesomeness! Also, Larry, her beau sounds like the kind of guy I'd love to meet!

I had such a great time with all of the ladies and can't wait for the next time we get together!

in which I share a conversation

Here's a hint of my life in the form of a conversation from about 8:30 in the morning the other day (names changed to protect them from Sarah McLachlan and Sally Struthers), read on:

me:
i think i am starving

other person:
you think?
get a burrito

me:
i have to eat
i feel like i'm gonna fall out or go crazy
i think you can see my ribs too

other person:
so starving you'd be sad on a tv special asking for 45 cents per day?

me:
that starving

later in the day

me:
i think i ate too much lunch
but when i think about it it isn't
i had a tomato soup
two servings yes but they are only 100 calories a serving
a thing of tuna fish
100 calories
and a cheese stick
and maybe two spoonfuls of peanut butter
it doesn't seem like that much does it?

other person:
it's not... but i thought you were starving like an ethiopian kid

me:
i was
but now my belly hurts
i think this conversation needs to be documented
blogging it
don't worry, i will protect your identity so the real starving people don't come after you for making light of them

other person:
they let starving people on the internet?

p.s. I promptly ate a snack size bag of mms after this convo...shakes head

in which I brain dump

  1. I still haven’t made a decision about Christmas cards- generic or print my own or what? What are y’all doing?

  2. I’ve talked about Bloggy Cardinal rules- I’ve mostly been sarcastic about them- but I know they exist- what are some you guys always think of?

  3. This weather is killing my ability to get into the Christmas spirit but I also don’t want it to get freezing cold- I’m dumb about coats and just don’t ever care to wear them!

  4. My web cam is being dumb and I missed a skype date with Maegan from I Love Chesterrific it made me sad! But anyways, I think I have it working again and was thinking about inviting some other bloggy friends for a G+ chat (since you can have multiple people) anyone interested in a bi-coastal chat (byo-wine)

  5. Does anyone actually use Google+, I know I have friends who kind of do, but I don’t- I have an account but it gets as much attention as my bygone Myspace account

  6. hahaha myspace- seriously-hahahahahaha

  7. I need to recap my 27 before 27 cause my birthday is about two months away now- I think I’m about halfway through my list and am thinking of “editing” some of the items on my list

  8. I’m proud of myself for not buying Butter LONDON nail polish the other day when they had 30% off on Monday- but ooo I wanted to!!

  9. I’m taking Aubrey to see Santa this weekend- she still totally believes in him but is getting to the point where she is “making up” excuses for the idiosyncrasies and not so convincing Santa happenings…that makes me kind of sad because it means she isn’t too far from not believing anymore…I found the Santa letter on pinterest the other day and that made me smile (and cry) and it was nice to have someone so eloquently put what I will want to one day tell Aubrey when she no longer believes!

  10. I’m pretty excited about Christmas gifts this year- since for the most they are handmade! But the problem is that I get done with one and then I want to take a picture and throw it up here on the ol’ blog but I can’t do that! So I’m going to share after Christmas I guess! (maybe I’m more in the Christmas spirit than I thought)
